As members of the Anderson School of Management community,
we agree to a set of core principles as guidelines for ethical
behavior. These principles include, but are not limited to:
- Honesty: Be truthful, sincere, forthright and straightforward. Do not cheat, steal, lie
or act deviously.
- Integrity: Maintain soundness of and adherence to ethical principles and character.
Exhibit honor and courage. Lead by example, "walk the talk," and avoid
even the appearance of conflict or impropriety.
- Trustworthiness: Agree to keep promises, fulfill commitments, and abide by the spirit as well
as the letter of an agreement. Do not manipulate instructions or misinterpret
agreements in order to rationalize non-compliance or to create excuses for
failure.
- Accountability: Accept responsibility for decisions, actions, and inaction. Own and
acknowledge failure just as we celebrate success. Strive to address and
remedy all problems and/or conflicts as they occur.
- Pursuit of Excellence: Work to achieve the highest levels of professionalism, fairness, fidelity and
respect throughout all academic, social and professional tasks. Set standards
high so those who follow may benefit from this legacy.
- Respect for Others: Demonstrate respect for human dignity, privacy, and equality. Be
courteous, decent, and helpful. Contribute to the success of others
and demonstrate gratitude for the contributions from others.
