The student technology fee is used to pay for the following projects and services available to Anderson students:
Wireless Access
Anderson students have access to an open, wireless network (ASM-UNM) at Anderson. For students
with a laptop (either their own or one checked out from the STSC), they can connect to the internet
and conduct research, check email, and collaborate with their classmates online.
Classroom Multimedia Equipment
Classroom equipment has been upgraded in the majority of Anderson classrooms. Some classrooms
have multiple projectors installed along with new podiums and computers. Faculty can project
DVD and VHS output in addition to the information displayed on the classroom computer or a laptop.

Student Support Services
Anderson students have access to technical support for their wireless devices from the
Anderson IS staff. Students that purchase an Anderson recommended Dell laptop are eligible for staff to
perform all warranty work on site.

Virtual Lab
The Virtual Computer Lab (VLAB) provides for computing resources of the existing computer
labs, including all course specific applications such as SPSS, JDeveloper, and VMWare.
The main feature of the VLAB is that these resources are available from anywhere in the
world our students get on-line.

Course Support
Course support includes technical support for faculty and management of
Course Data Files. If a problem occurs during class
with the equipment, the IS staff will provide support and attempt to fix the problem. IS staff also provide
training to faculty members so that they can operate the equipment properly.

Anderson maintains a family of web sites aimed at providing students with information about
advisement, concentration requirements, salary surveys and results, course data files, career
services news, job/internship postings, and much more.

Laptop Checkout
Anderson students can checkout a laptop from the STSC. Students can use the checked out
laptop in class or while studying at the recently completed Anderson Student Center. The
Anderson campus also provides wireless access to students so they can connect to the internet
and conduct research or check email.
Anderson recognizes the importance of mobile technology in helping students achieve their
academic goals while preparing them for their future careers.

Computer Lab
The computer lab at Anderson is open to Anderson students when it is not in use for an Anderson
course. Software including Microsoft Office,
SPSS, SQL+, and JDeveloper are installed on these computers. Students also have
access to VMWare and Business Plan Pro through the
VLAB.

6 printing stations are available to Anderson students in the STSC. Students can print course material,
research papers, and lecture material.

Anderson Financial Center
The Anderson Financial Center features a video wall composed of 10 plasma displays working
in concert to display news, real-time stock feeds, and other financial information. Students
managing the investment portfolio meet in this state-of-the-art boardroom for class.

Anderson Panels
