A TASTE OF ANDERSON 2012 - CREATIVE KITCHEN: A CULINARY EVENT

(Albuquerque, NM) The second annual Taste of Anderson culinary event to benefit the Rick and Debbie Johnson Marketing Center will take place on Wednesday, October 17 at 5:30pm at the Albuquerque Country Club.
Guests will have the opportunity meet the first two Rick Johnson Scholars while enjoying a variety of innovative cuisine, wine, champagne, and dessert creations from fifteen of Albuquerque's finest restaurants. The cost to attend the event is $100 per person with the proceeds going to support marketing students at UNM Anderson School of Management. A Taste of Anderson, Creative Kitchen: A Culinary Event honors Rick and Debbie Johnson, the power couple who started the Rick Johnson and Company ad agency in Albuquerque in the 70s and beat all the odds by making it one of the top firms in the Western United States. The marketing center at UNM Anderson was named after them in August 2011.
The state-of-the-art marketing center gives Anderson students enrolled in upper-division marketing courses access to the latest technological advances in the marketing industry. Anderson Marketing has a history of beating top-flight colleges and universities in national competitions, including top honors in Energy Tomorrow: America's Challenge, a national marketing case study competition sponsored by the American Petroleum Institute as well as competitions sponsored by Cadillac, Subaru of America, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
"These competitions are a great educational experience for our students," said Anderson Dean Doug Brown. "They enable them to associate with others who are at the top of their game."
