The UBPR is an analytical tool created by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) to help supervise and examine financial institutions. It serves as a published analysis of the impact which bank management and economic conditions have on a bank’s balance sheet and income statement. Students, under the guidance of Visiting Professor Howard J. (Ward) Hickey Jr., examined bank liquidity, capital adequacy, bank earnings, and multivariate factors affecting the safety and soundness of our financial institutions.
