Scholarships at Anderson

By filling out Anderson scholarship/fellowship application you apply for all scholarships and fellowships available at Anderson. The Anderson Scholarship Committee matches the awards to the specifics of the endowments. Anderson has approximately 14 endowed fellowships and 20 endowed scholarships available.


2008-2009 Anderson Graduate Tuition Support

The 2008-2009 Anderson Graduate Tuition Support application will be available on April 30, 2008. Completed applications are due back on June 2, 2008. Applications are available online (see below) and at the Reception Desk, 2nd floor, west wing. Please return completed applications to Deirdre Markham in ASM 2034 by 5:00 pm, Monday, June 2, 2008. Applications submitted after this date will be considered if monies are still available.

Applicants must be enrolled in the Anderson Graduate Program during or prior to Spring 2008 in order to be eligible to apply. For best consideration, it is recommended that all applications should complete a FAFSA. You can access the online FAFSA application through the Student Financial Aid office (http://www.unm.edu/~finaid/).

ABWA Scholarship Opportunity

The Albuquerque Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) is funding a special scholarship through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF), the chapter announced today. The field of study is Business and the scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2000.

In order to be eligible for scholarship consideration, candidates must be women who: (1) are citizens of the United States and residents of the state of New Mexico; (2) will be college Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate level in Aug. 2008; (3) are attending or have been accepted at the University of New Mexico; (4) have achieved a cumulative grade point average 3.5 of GPA or better on a 4.0 scale; and (5) are pursuing studies in the field of Business.


ALPFA/HCF Scholarship Program

Each year, ALPFA runs a scholarship program for students of Hispanic decent who are studying Accounting, Finance, IT and related fields of business.

The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) offers scholarships to students pursuing studies in accounting, finance, IT or a related field.

Amount of Each Scholarship: $1250 - $10,000

Eligibility Criteria: (Only takes 5 minutes to assess eligibility online)

  • Must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico
  • Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year
  • Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year 2008-2009
  • Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Student must demonstrate financial need
  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in business, finance or accounting.
