Getting an Anderson Degree & Living in Albuquerque - Dharish Totiger

Having a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a business mindset, I wanted to combine both. Hence, I was consistently interested in pursuing higher studies in both technology and management. Anderson came as a ray of hope in achieving it.

It is one of the handfuls of schools that offer a dual degree in MS and MBA in the US, from which you can potentially graduate within a short period. The best part is that it also offers scholarships / financial aid, which can cover almost fifty percent of your college tuition apart from other generous scholarships from the alumni. The environment of diverse cohorts and instructors are the other reasons to prefer Anderson. The student organizations will help you to network with industry experts. The opportunities for you as a student are plenty.

I am currently interning with STC.UNM, a technology transfer office at UNM. I am learning the nuances of market research and commercializing the technology in my current position. The Innovation Academy at UNM through their I Corps initiative offers you a unique program where entrepreneurial experts will mentor you. Besides, you could work with an existing technology to identify the market for the technology for which you will receive a stipend as well. So, necessarily you will have all the resources and the atmosphere for you to excel at Anderson.

It is also noteworthy to mention how I enjoy living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have been living in Albuquerque for almost two years now, and I have traveled across different states. However, no other place fascinates me as Albuquerque does! The food, clear blue sky, mountains, outdoor activities, balloon fiesta, and the list goes on!
In a nutshell, Anderson and Albuquerque have got exciting opportunities for you. Good luck!
