Dr. Jacobson received a Ph.D. in Psychology, with an emphasis in Social Psychology, from Arizona State University. His primary research interests focus on the psychological mechanisms underlying social influence in the workplace, with a special emphasis on the effects of social norms on behavior. Other research interests include the effects of cultural diversity on individual and organizational performance as well as the antecedents of prosocial behavior in organizations. Dr. Jacobson is currently the co-director of the Anderson School of Management's Behavioral Research Laboratory and often sponsors advanced undergraduate and graduate students on directed study projects associated with the lab. Dr. Jacobson currently teaches Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as a graduate course in Interpersonal and Team Dynamics. He has also taught introductory and advanced Social Psychology courses as well as introductory Research Methods.
