Few industries were more affected by the recession of 2007-2009 than the commercial real estate sector. When the economy abruptly corrected in the face of widespread bank failures tied to real estate investments in 2008, excessive leverage, securitization of loans, inflated property values, and sky high rental rates suddenly became a deadly combination.
Through the wreckage of the early crisis years emerged a generational opportunity to buy real estate at values once thought unimaginable. Dan Burrell, CEO of Rosemont Realty will share how Rosemont Realty emerged during the crisis through a series of strategic acquisitions and is today New Mexico's largest commercial landlord and has more than doubled in size to $1.6 billion.
Dan Burrell will discuss why he founded the Company and will address the U.S. recovery and real estate trends for the next five years.
