ANDERSON SCHOOLS ALUMNUS APPOINTED TO RICHARDSON'S CABINET

Governor-Elect Bill Richardson has appointed Jerry Pacheco, an alumnus of The Anderson Schools of Management at The University of New Mexico, as Deputy Director of Economic Development.

Richardson appointed Pacheco, who is Director of Marketing for the Santa Teresa Real Estate Development Corporation, on December 12th. In his new role, Pacheco will assist Secretary-Designate Rick Homans with helping to build a high-wage economy in New Mexico and assist with increasing border trade.

Pacheco received his Bachelors of Business Administration in 1988 and his Masters of Business Administration in 1991. He has been an adjunct faculty member at The Anderson Schools as well as a syndicated columnist on border issues. The Anderson Schools also recognized Pacheco as an Up-and-Comer in International Business in 2001.
