Anderson Schools Announce Coaching Skills for Managers Certificate Program

The Management Development Center at UNM’s Anderson Schools of Management is offering the Coaching Skills for Managers Certificate Program this spring. Coaching is a system that promotes innovation and accelerated results, improves retention and development, and facilitates improved communication and team effectiveness.

In the Coaching Skills for Managers Certificate Program, participants will learn the benefits of coaching for themselves and their organization, coach to align individual and organizational goals, increase their confidence in coaching around difficult issues, develop an action plan for integrating coaching throughout their organization, and practice skills to coach for accelerated results.

This 12-week course is designed for managers, supervisors, team leaders, human resource and organizational development professionals, and anyone wanting to learn coaching and advanced communication skills. In addition to the 36 hours of training, each participant receives three 30-minute coaching sessions with a trained business coach.

This noncredit certificate program provides an opportunity for personal and professional development without being formally admitted or enrolled in the University. The Coaching Skills for Managers Certificate Program will be held on Tuesday evenings, January 28th through April 15th from 6:00 to
