Anderson Schools Announce Managing for Success through Coaching Certificate Program

Would you like to foster a positive relationship between your employees and your organization and increase personal effectiveness?

Coaching has proven to be a powerful tool for supporting high performance, encouraging good work habits, taking initiative, building trust, and enabling individuals to align their individual goals with organizational goals. Coaching improves managers’ skills which in turn, improves employee and customer satisfaction. This fall, the Management Development Center at UNM’s Anderson Schools of Management is providing managers the opportunity to develop the mindset and skills needed to be an effective coach.

The Managing for Success through Coaching Certificate Program is 12-week course designed for managers, supervisors, team leaders, human resource and organizational development professionals, and anyone wanting to learn coaching and advanced communication skills. In addition to the 36 hours of training, each participant receives three 30-minute coaching sessions by telephone with a trained business coach.

This noncredit certificate program provides an opportunity for personal and professional development without being formally admitted or enrolled in the University. The Managing for Success through Coaching Certificate Program will be held on Tuesday evenings, August 30th – November 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the State Bar of New Mexico.
