ANDERSON SCHOOL ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS
(Albuquerque, NM) The Anderson School of Management Board of Directors welcomes seven new members.

The new board members are: Edward T. Garcia, Co-owner of Garcia Automotive Group; Brandon Hill Haines, CPA, CFE, Assurance Principal, Meyners + Company, LLC; Barbara J. "BJ" Jones, President, The Inside Scoop, LLC; Mike Rico, Assistant Treasurer, PNM Resources, Inc.; Ryan A. Shell, Vice President, Controller and Treasurer, New Mexico Gas Company; Paul Anthony Sowards, Vice Chairman and Senior Lender for Century Bank; Edward R. Street, CPA, ABV, CFF, CVA, Principal in charge of Business Valuation, Forensic and Litigations Services, REDW LLC.

The Anderson School Foundation Board serves in an advisory capacity to the Dean of the Anderson School, sponsors the annual Hall of Fame Awards Banquet, and generates resources for Anderson's nationally recognized programs in business and management education. The new board will meet for the first time on September 15 and the new slate of directors was effective July 1, 2010. Each member will serve a three-year term.

ABOUT THE BOARD MEMBERS
Edward T. Garcia has 15 years experience as a dealer principal and owner of Infiniti, Subaru, Kia, Saab and Smart USA in Albuquerque, Hyundai in Santa Fe, and Audi, Jaguar, and Subaru dealerships in El Paso, TX. He has 17 years experience as an executive manager for the Garcia Automotive Group and more than 20 years hands-on experience in all phases of dealership operation. Edward received his BBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1990. He is a supporter of the UNM's Popejoy Society and Lobo Club and has served as a board member for the New Mexico Finance Authority, State of New Mexico Board of Finance, and Central New Mexico Community College.

Brandon Hill Haines is the Principal in charge of the Assurance practice and Chairman of the executive committee with the accounting firm of Meyners + Company, LLC. A Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner, Mr. Haines has nearly 30 years of experience in the accounting and forensic disciplines. He was honored by the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants in 2008 with the "Community Service Award", and in 2002 was named "Outstanding Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice." He is a Business Advisory Council member for the Business School at New Mexico State University (NMSU) and a member of the Accounting Department Advisory Council at both NMSU and the UNM Anderson School of Management. He has been an Adjunct Professor at UNM teaching a graduate level class in auditing and assurance services since 2003 and received his BBA degree from the Anderson School of Management.

As President of The Inside Scoop, LLC, Barbara J. "BJ" Jones offers Personal Coaching expertise and services. Ms. Jones retired from Sandia Labs after 25 years of professional experience in Human Resource managerial and functional responsibilities. She has been active in numerous state and local organizations since moving to New Mexico 26 years ago and currently serves on the United Way Women-in-Philanthropy Council, and the Church of Risen Savior Finance Council. BJ is a graduate of Leadership Albuquerque and Leadership New Mexico and was honored with a New Mexico Distinguished Public Service Award in 2008. She is a graduate of the Lockheed Martin Executive Coaching Certification program and has a BS in Medical Microbiology and an MBA, both from Stanford University.

Mike Rico is the Assistant Treasurer for Treasury Operations at PNM Resources, Inc. He is a CPA with extensive experience in the utility industry specializing in corporate finance, financial reporting and accounting. Mike began his career in public accounting with KPMG and has spent more than 30 years in the utility industry with American Electric Power Company and PNM Resources, Inc. He is a board member for Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Central New Mexico, a member of the Transportation Planning Council for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the Accounting Standards Committee and the Corporate Accounting Committee with the Edison Electric Institute. Mr. Rico received his BS in accounting from Northern Arizona University in 1975.

Ryan A. Shell is Vice President, Controller and Treasurer of New Mexico Gas Company, the largest provider of natural gas distribution services in the state. In these roles, Ryan is responsible for the financial operations of New Mexico Gas Company, including the accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, financial planning, and treasury functions. Prior to joining New Mexico Gas Company, Ryan worked in various financial roles at SEMCO Energy, a natural gas distribution service provider with operations in Michigan and Alaska, and prior to that worked as a CPA at BDO Seidman, a national accounting and consulting firm. He is a graduate of Oakland University where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. Ryan and his wife Janet and their six children reside in Albuquerque.

Paul Anthony Sowards is the Vice Chairman and Senior Lender for Century Bank and has spent his entire 32+ year career in the banking industry. Mr. Sowards has had a very fulfilling career since moving to New Mexico in 1987 with his family. Before joining Century Bank he served as President for Bank of Albuquerque and Bank of America, he was Executive Vice President and Manager of Commercial Banking for Nations Bank, and worked as a Manager and commercial lender for Sunwest Bank. Paul is active with the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce, Presbyterian Health Plan, Boy Scouts of America, ACCION, National Dance Institute, and Lovelace Clinic Foundation. He is a native of Provo, Utah and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees, including an MBA, from BYU in 1978.

Edward R. Street is Principal in Charge of REDW LLC's Business Valuation, Forensic, and Litigation Services practices. He has approximately 30 years of public accounting experience and in addition to being a CPA, he also holds the Accredited in Business Valuation, Certified in Financial Forensics and the Certified Valuation Analyst designations. Mr. Street has served as an expert witness in cases before the U.S. District Court and State District Courts in New Mexico and has appeared on behalf of clients in arbitration and mediation settings. Edward graduated from South Dakota State University and also attended the UNM Anderson School of management. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Central New Mexico YMCA in the roles of chair and treasurer and is a member of the Rotary Club of Albuquerque Del Sol.
