Dr. Joni Young
(Albuquerque, NM) UNM Anderson School Accounting Professor Joni Young was appointed an editor of the prestigious Accounting, Organizations and Society. Accounting, Organizations & Society is a major international journal concerned with all aspects of the relationship between accounting and human behaviour, organizational structures and processes, and the changing social and political environment of the enterprise. Dr. Young joins six other editors in helping to decide the content of the journal and in shaping the focus of accounting research.

Editor-in-Chief Christopher Chapman appointed Dr. Young to the editor position after she received the Notable Contribution to Accounting Literature Award at the 2011 American Accounting Association (AAA) Annual Meeting. This past year Dr. Young was also awarded the title of "Visiting Professor" at the London School of Economics.

Doug Brown, Dean of the Anderson School, says Dr. Young’s many accomplishments only add to the strength of the Anderson Accounting Department.

The Accounting, Organizations and Society is one of the 45 journals used by the Financial Times in compiling the Business School research rank, included in both the Global MBA and Executive MBA rankings. It is published eight times a year and is considered among the top accounting journals in the world.
