Two UNM Anderson Professors Named as Top 50 Researchers in the World

Dr. Luo is ranked as a top 25 researcher in the world in the area of Information Systems based on publications in the top-tier journals European Journal of Information Systems and Journal of Strategic Information Systems in the past two years. Both journals are considered top A-level outlets by Senior Scholars of Association for Information Systems. Anderson Associate Dean Dr. Ranjit Bose is ranked 38th on the AIS list for a collaborative paper with Dr. Luo on assessing a firmís potential to undertake Green IT initiatives via virtualization.
Dr. Luo joined the Management Information Systems and Information Assurance Program at UNM Anderson in 2008 and has taught courses in Information Systems Security, Business Application Programming, Computer-based Information Systems, and Web Application Development. His research focuses on cross-cultural IT management, information systems security, and innovative technology diffusion.
Dr. Bose has served as Associate Dean since January 2011 and is a Regents Professor. His current research interest is in the area of organizational knowledge management geared toward intelligent decision-support and innovative technology diffusion. Dr. Bose has been at UNM Anderson since 1989, he has taught several courses in the area of Management Information Systems and is currently teaching Systems Analysis and Design courses.
Dean Doug Brown says having two professors named as top 50 researchers in the world is a proud accomplishment for UNM Anderson.
"Anderson is indeed proud to have two internationally recognized scholars in the field of Management Information," said Brown. "Both Dr. Luo and Dr. Bose were able to perform their research while contributing significantly in the classroom and in service to the university."
