Business Plan Competition Kick-Off

UNM Business Plan CompetitionThe 13th Annual UNM Business Plan Competition is underway after a successful kickoff on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.  The competition is a seven-month program that helps students become entrepreneurs and launch their business. This year more than 20 teams from UNM, New Mexico State, and CNM will present plans in both the Technology and Entrepreneurial Ventures tracks.

Following the daylong competition on Friday, April 20, 2018, top prizes will be handed out that evening at the UNM Business Plan Competition Awards Reception and Banquet at the Embassy Suites Hotel.

Parker Center for Family Business

Parker Center for Family BusinessThe Parker Center for Family Business (PCFB) at the Anderson School of Management is holding an evening celebration and informational reception on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 6pm.  The event will welcome members of the Family Business Connectors, those who lead and work in family businesses as well as provide information to family business owners who would like to learn more about the PCFB and how to join this group.

McKinnon Center for Management Ribbon Cutting

MCM East SideThe Anderson School of Management is excited to start a new chapter in its long history with the opening of the new McKinnon Center for Management building on Friday, May 11, 2018. The ribbon cutting begins at 1:15pm followed by public tours of the new facility. Ian and Sonnet McKinnon, lead donors for the MCM, will join Anderson, University, and Community Leaders for the opening ceremony. Students will attend their first classes in the MCM beginning Fall 2018.

Spring 2018 Convocation Speaker

Andy LimThe Anderson School welcomes Andy Lim as the convocation speaker on May 12, 2018. Lim is an Anderson graduate and the current Founder, CEO & Product Architect of Addmi Inc. Addmi is an event-management and networking platform that is already being used in New Mexico and around the world.  It was successfully used at the Anderson Hall of Fame event on March 5, 2018. Before Addmi, Lim was the Founder and CEO of LAVU.

Lim graduated with his degree in Management Information Systems. We are excited to bring Andy back to Anderson to share words of wisdom and encouragement to the next generation of business leaders.
