July 16, 2018 - Leslie Venzuela

MCMTop Management Degrees included the Anderson School of Management in their annual ranking of the 50 Most Beautiful Business Schools. Anderson was #23 on the list, in the company of schools such as Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, and Northwestern University. Nearby, University of Texas at Austin and University of Colorado Boulder are also featured.

Top Management Degrees praised the brand new McKinnon Center for Management (MCM) building for its comfortable room spaces, experiential learning spaces, and collaborative and private study rooms. The article also highlights the modern features of our building, including digitized lecture boards and moveable tables and chairs.

The MCM opened to the public on July 2, 2018 and is the first new building dedicated to the Anderson School in 48 years. It is designed to LEED Gold Certification Standards and has a significant emphasis on student-focused services. The MCM building was made possible by a $5M lead gift by Ian and Sonnet McKinnon.

At the ribbon cutting on May 11, 2018, Dean Craig White said the McKinnon’s gift is crucial to business education in New Mexico.

"The construction of the McKinnon Center is a major milestone in the history of the Anderson School," says Dean Craig White. "The investment to the school by Ian and Sonnet McKinnon will have a significant impact on our students for years to come."
