Donor Spotlight: Brandyn Jordan

A Passionate Anderson Supporter

Brandyn JordanBrandyn Jordan, a two-time Anderson graduate, has been a dedicated and passionate supporter of Anderson since 2017, consistently giving back as a monthly donor. He earned his BBA in 2013, followed by dual graduate degrees in accounting and information assurance in 2015, before quickly launching his career with PwC. Today, he serves as a senior manager in their Risk and Regulatory Oracle Advisory practice. He leverages his expertise and position to help Anderson students through resume-building discussions, recruiting Anderson graduates and ongoing contributions.

Brandyn started his monthly giving journey in 2017 to help raise funds for Anderson’s new building, the McKinnon Center for Management, which opened in May 2018. He remembers taking classes and studying at Anderson when there were east and west wings and when students entered classrooms from outside. The McKinnon Center is now a point of pride for him. Through his support, he helped provide students with a home to study and collaborate. He realized early on that it’s not the amount a donor gives; it’s the impact on others, and the McKinnon Center is a positive outcome that he’s proud to have contributed to.

He counts his time at Anderson as the best time of his life, full of personal growth, meeting forever friends and numerous professional opportunities. Specifically, his involvement with the Association of Latino Professionals for America or ALPFA student organization, where he served as vice president and president. ALPFA, with its shared commitment to learning and supporting the Hispanic community in business, fostered his leadership skills, gave him a sense of belonging and purpose in business as well as a network of professionals and friends that remain a vital part of his life today.

Memories of career services with Kate Williams are also powerful, as she helped him fine-tune his resume and identify his strengths. Those experiences helped him prepare for interviews, and in turn, he has helped other students through career fairs and mentorship. His connection to Anderson remains strong through participation in events, mentoring ALPFA students, and recruiting new talent for PwC. He takes pride in showing that Anderson students can succeed at major companies nationwide.

He believes alumni can play an important role in students' lives. By sharing their experiences and knowledge, they can help other students have meaningful, life-changing experiences. “Letting them know they are supported and have a network to lean on can move mountains,” he said.

Brandyn takes pride in knowing that his time and monthly contributions will help improve the lives of Anderson students. He enjoys giving back to a place that gave so much to him.
