Scholarships and Fellowships

At UNM Anderson we are proud to offer nearly 100 donor-funded scholarships, demonstrating our commitment to student success and educational accessibility. Annually, we distribute an average of $263,000 in scholarships among 193 deserving students. Our scholarships cater to a diverse range of needs and aspirations, from general awards open to all students to specialized scholarships aligned with specific concentrations.

Eligibility for each scholarship is determined by a unique set of criteria, often considering a blend of academic achievement and financial need. Our evaluation process involves a balanced consideration of merit (reflected by GPA) and unmet financial need. Certain scholarships may have additional requirements, such as supplementary essays or specific information, which students provide through our biannual scholarship application.

The Fall scholarship application is open in March with awards offered in June. The Spring scholarship application opens in September with awards offered in December.

Important Information

Anderson students must apply through the scholarship application link below to be eligible for scholarships:

  1. Merit-based scholarships: All Anderson students who submit an application are eligible; these scholarships represent about 50% of Anderson scholarships.
  2. Financial need/merit-based scholarships: These scholarships represent about 50% of Anderson’s scholarships/fellowships and are awarded based on application submissions and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information Anderson receives from the UNM Financial Aid Office.

Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible.

To be eligible for an award, you must be a current Anderson student, or have applied to an Anderson program by the scholarship application deadline, or must be identified as a pre-business major.

All scholarship/fellowship awards are for one semester. Awarded scholarships are one-time only. They are not recurring scholarships.
