Study Abroad Course Credit
Students who are planning on studying Management abroad and hoping to use non-UNM courses for the completion of an Anderson BBA should submit requests using the Transfer Request form.
- You may request UNM credit for coursework completed abroad, but those credits will only count toward specific degree requirements if the appropriate approvals have been obtained.
- It is your responsibility to obtain as much information regarding a study-abroad course including:
- You must identify the relevant Anderson course (MGMT) that you believe your study abroad course should count towards.
- It is your responsibility to make sure that the UNM Catalog description of the course and the study abroad/transfer course are similar.
IMPORTANT: Students should do their best to get approvals through this process so they know in advance that they're guaranteed UNM credit for another school's courses. However, it is usually difficult to get a syllabus, course-descriptions etc. well in advance of the first day of classes; in light of this there is no guarantee that everything taken abroad will be an exact match for BBA concentration or core credit when you return. Students should anticipate the possibility of having to alter their graduation date.
Credit for Non-Anderson Courses
If you are seeking course credit for a non-Anderson Course (such as English, Philosophy, etc.) you must work with the respective department to receive approval. Anderson cannot approve study abroad or transfer course credit for non-Anderson courses.
