  • Where: Beijing, Xi'an, and Chengdu, in conjunction with Beijing Foreign Studies University, Siyuan University, and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, respectively
  • For Whom: Interdisciplinary - business & non-business students
  • Course focus: 3 credits for business, engineering, and language/culture classes
  • Sessions will be held in English during May 2014
  • Approximate cost:
    • $1000-1500 for airfare
    • Approx $1800 fee for guest lectures, lodging, domestic transportation, materials, meals, cultural visits and professional travel services

Summer 2013 - MGT 594/493 Culture, Sustainability & Business Opportunities - Tuscany, Italy

Italy
  • Where: primarily near Siena (www.spannocchia.org), with visits to Rome, Florence and various Tuscan towns
  • For Whom: Business & non-biz students, MBA & undergrad
  • Course focus: study of entrepreneurial activities across cultural industries in Italy, including agritourism, slow food, arts and design-intensive industries. Students will then link their experience to their home communities.
  • Sessions will be held in English during June 2013
  • Approximate cost:
    • $1100-1400 for airfare
    • UNM tuition for 3 credit hours
    • A program fee of $1350 for lodging, in-country transportation, most meals, and materials

Summer 2013 - MGT 490/498 Strategic Management in Mexico

  • When: May 2013 (late-starting spring course-no additional tuition fee)
  • Where: León in collaboration with Centro Fox, the presidential library of former President Vicente Fox.
  • For Whom: Interdisciplinary - business & non-business students
  • Course focus: 3-6 credits for business and language/culture classes
  • Sessions will be held in English during June 2013
  • Approximate cost: $700-$1000 for trip, regular Spring UNM tuition for course.
