Ann’s visibility and relationship with the business community as well as her commitment and service to Anderson students exemplify leadership. This is the second time Ann has been bestowed this deserving honor.

Ann earned her Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Accounting from the University of New Mexico and has been an Accounting Principal Lecturer at the Anderson School since 2002.

During her tenure at Anderson, Ann has served as the Director of Online Programs, Chair of the Anderson Scholarship Committee, Assessment co-Coordinator, Accounting Accreditation Director, Beta Alpha Psi Faculty Advisor, 4-year Chair of New Mexico Business Articulation, and was the founding member of UNM’s Online Course Advisory Council. In addition to her work at Anderson, Ann has served on the Nusenda Credit Union Board since 2007, where she is currently Board Chair.

A beloved teacher at the Anderson School, Ann will be retiring from UNM in July 2020 and moving to Winston-Salem, NC to begin teaching at Wake Forest University.

Ann will be honored along with the Hall of Fame Inductees and Young Alumni Award Recipients at the 31st Annual Hall of Fame event on March 12, 2020, at the Embassy Suites hotel in Albuquerque. We invite and encourage faculty, staff, and students to join us in celebrating Ann Brooks and her distinguished contributions to the Anderson School. The banquet and scholarship fundraiser will include a live auction with all the proceeds going to support student scholarships.
