Scholarships and Fellowships
All Anderson students will now be automatically considered for all Anderson merit and need-based scholarships for which they are eligible. Anderson need-based scholarships are awarded based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you're eligible but haven't completed your FAFSA for 2021-22, please do so as soon as possible.
Students will be notified of scholarship decisions in early August.
Anderson scholarships fall into two categories:
- Merit-based scholarships: all Anderson students are eligible; these scholarships represent approximately 50% of all Anderson scholarships.
- Financial need/merit-based scholarships: these scholarships represent approximately 50% of Anderson’s scholarships/fellowships and are awarded based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information we receive from the UNM Financial Aid Office. All students who are eligible to complete a FAFSA should already have been completed for the information to be processed and received by UNM and available to Anderson by the application due date.
Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible.
To be eligible for an award, you must be a current Anderson student and admitted to Anderson by the beginning of the fall semester or must be identified as a pre-business major.
All scholarship/fellowship awards are for one academic year and the awarded amount is paid over two semesters. If a student is graduating in the fall, the student will only receive half of the award. Awarded scholarships are one-time only. They are not recurring scholarships.
Scholarship Opportunities for Studying Abroad
Students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are eligible for scholarships of up to $2,500 for studying abroad during the academic year, which may be supplemented from other sources such as the UNM Regents scholarships for studying abroad. Students may also participate in internships during their studies.
