Anderson Professional Closet Grand Opening

August 28, 2019 - Leslie Venzuela

Professional Closet (Albuquerque, NM) The grand opening of the new Anderson School of Management Professional Closet is Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Guests will tour the Professional Closet for the first time and attend a dress presentation at 11:00am in the McKinnon Center for Management Innovation Center aimed at teaching them how to use this resource that is exclusive to the Anderson School.

The Anderson Foundation partnered with Suits Unlimited and the Anderson School Foundation to provide a select size run of suits and accessories at no cost to Anderson students and graduates who are unable to get their own professional attire due to time or budgetary constraints.

Florencio Olguin, director of student services, says the professional closet will serve as a nice tie-in to Anderson’s overall efforts to develop career management skills.
“Adding a career closet to our repertoire of services has been a long time coming,” says Olguin. “Thanks to Suits Unlimited and the Anderson Foundation, many of our students and alumni can walk into any interview and make a lasting impression by looking polished and professional.”

Suits Unlimited is a family owned and locally operated business, providing special occasion attire, and tailoring needs. Jim Knight, a long-time Anderson supporter, manages Suits Unlimited in Albuquerque and was instrumental in developing the partnership with the Anderson School.

“Not having the perfect wardrobe shouldn’t keep Anderson students from getting the perfect job,” says Anderson Interim Dean Shawn Berman. “This collaboration is important because it ensures our students can make a great impression at job interviews using both their skills and professional appearance.”
