Message to Alumni from Madison Herbertson, Alumni Relations Officer
July 27, 2023 - Megan Borders
My full name is Madison, but most people call me Madi. As the new alumni relations officer, it's my great pleasure to serve as a bridge between Anderson and our esteemed alumni community.
My primary goal is to foster meaningful and lasting relationships with you all and strengthen our network to benefit both our graduates and the institution. I firmly believe in the power of alumni engagement and the significant impact it can have on the growth and success of our community.
A little bit about me: I've lived all over the country. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and I made my way to California, Massachusetts and Delaware with my family. When I was going into second grade, we moved to Albuquerque, where my parents grew up. I was raised to be a Lobo fan since they are HUGE fans themselves. Considering that my whole family are Lobo fans and my parents both work for UNM, I couldn't picture myself going to college anywhere else. I graduated from UNM in 2019 with my BA in liberal arts. I'm thrilled to be part of UNM again but now as an employee! Outside of work, I love to hike, try new local craft beer, and spend time with my husband and fur babies: two dogs and two cats.
I can't wait for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead and the connections I'll make with the alumni community. I look forward to meeting and engaging with each and every one of you.
