Homecoming Scholarship Luncheon Recognizes Hall of Fame Young Alumni Honorees

February 2, 2022 - Anna Dykeman

Simon Goldfine and Alicia OrtegaDuring Homecoming Week 2021 Anderson hosted a luncheon that brought together our generous donors and accomplished student scholarship recipients to celebrate the transformative power of scholarships. With the help of scholarship recipients Reece Wilkinson, an undergraduate in the B.B.A. program concentrating in accounting, and Laura Hall, an Executive MBA student, and Dean’s Council member and donor Sonya Priestly, we recognized the difference scholarship funds make toward the continued success of Anderson students.

We capped off the event by awarding our two Anderson Hall of Fame Young Alumni honorees for this year: Simon Goldfine, majority owner and president of Sierra Peaks Corporation, and Alicia Ortega, co-director and co-founder of Native Women Lead. Young Alumni honorees represent the best and brightest of Anderson alumni under the age of 40. This year’s honorees are excellent examples of how Anderson students can graduate and immediately begin making an impact in their jobs and careers.

This scholarship luncheon is one of this year’s series of Anderson’s Signature Events that include recognizing the 33rd Hall of Fame class.
