Anderson Receives $200,000 Grant to Advance DEI

Albuquerque, N.M. -- The Anderson School of Management at The University of New Mexico (UNM) has received a multi-year, $200,000 grant from Bank of America to support diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in New Mexico. Specifically, the funding will create the opportunity for faculty and students to provide support to New Mexico minority owned and led businesses.
“This generous gift will enable Anderson to enhance student learning while also providing valuable business services to minority-owned businesses in our state,” said Mitzi Montoya, Anderson Dean, The University of New Mexico. “Providing opportunities for our students to gain hands-on learning experience while supporting the development of our state’s economy is a key Anderson strength. We thank Bank of America for supporting our DEI initiatives and continuing to invest in New Mexico.”
Anderson is committed to contributing to the advancement of the New Mexico economy by supporting the growth of local businesses and startups as well as the attraction of new businesses. Faculty and students work on business development activities with a goal of advancing the New Mexico economy and supporting job creation.

The grant is part of Bank of America’s national multi-year $1.25 billion commitment to advancing racial equality and economic opportunity for communities of color.
