New Stackable Graduate Management Certificates Launch for Tax Accounting and Business Fundamentals

The University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Management is offering a new graduate management certificate program with classes beginning in Fall 2023. The program has three options: one in tax accounting and two in general business fundamentals. Each certificate consists of 15 credit hours or five courses. Applications for Fall 2023 are being accepted through July 15.
The tax accounting certificate is tailored to individuals seeking to enhance their research and technical skills. The five tax classes are offered in an accelerated, eight-week online format over a year. Students can choose the number of classes they take each semester and the timing of certificate completion.
The business fundamental options are designed for working professionals interested in gaining a broader understanding of business topics. Eligible students must have a bachelor's degree in any field, and classes are offered through a combination of in-person and online coursework. The general business tracks are pending final university approval, so credit toward these two certificates will be awarded once approved (expected Fall 2024).

Graduate certificates can be earned in one academic year. For those seeking a graduate business degree, the certificate's 15 credit hours can be applied toward a graduate degree in accounting or business administration.
